A PURRFECT START. The Cat Lady Cafe held their Back to School Bash on Aug. 31 from noon to 2 p.m. at their location in downtown South Bend. They have many cats up for adoption, like this cutie.

CHIPMUNK CHILLIN’. “General Meownager” Chipmunk was exhausted after a day of excitement. Every student that attended the event got a voucher for a free visit in the future.

PENSIVE AND PLAYFUL. Two kitties hang out in a tree together after getting plenty of attention from visitors and potential adopters. Those interested in attending the cafe regularly have the option to purchase any of multiple membership tiers, which have perks such as discounted merchandise and special admission.

READY TO POUNCE. This playful kitten is absolutely loving the event and is having so much fun playing with toys. At the cafe, some adoptable cats are “sponsored”, which means their adoption fee has been prepaid by a donor.
