Hello! My name is Mia Brassai and I am joining The Preface as one of the newest members of the staff. I am a junior from Mishawaka, Indiana, and I am an art major minoring in psychology. I hope to pursue a career in art therapy someday. 

I’ve always loved art. Growing up I spent most of my time playing the flute and drawing. These were my emotional outlets as well, and they heavily influenced the career decisions I made for my life. They were what I was most comfortable with. I first came to IU South Bend as a music major, later dropped out, and came back as an art major. 

I am thrilled to be working towards becoming an art therapist. Art has impacted my life in such positive ways, and I can only hope to help others process their own struggles through art. 

In my spare time, I like to play video games, watch shows and work on my own personal projects. My favorite games are story-based, like Warframe and Skyrim. My favorite show right now is Criminal Minds. 

I hope to expand my skills as an artist and writer here at The Preface. I’m looking forward to all the new things I’ll be learning.
