Your Titan baseball and softball teams have started their 2025 season.
Baseball started their season Feb. 7, heading to San Antonio, Texas, for a two-day tournament. The first day, the Titans lost 3-5 and again 2-5. Moving into the second day, they won 3-2 then lost 2-11. The Titans didn’t start off strong this season, but that didn’t stop Senior Jack Ryan from hitting the first home run of the year in the second game of the first day.
On day two, sophomore Evan Fortson hit two home runs in each of the two games for the Titans. The team came back on Feb. 14 to defeat Kentucky Christian University 2-1 then lost in the second game to them 2-5.
This week, Titan baseball will travel to Henderson, Tennessee to play Freed-Hardeman University, University of Northwestern Ohio and IU Kokomo.
Softball also kicked their season off Feb. 14 and 15 in Rosemont, Illinois. They started off with two close losses vs. Roosevelt University 2-3 and Madonna University 11-12 and then a win vs. Bethel University 8-6.
The Titan softball team is going into this 2025 season with a new coach, Annie Dehnke. Coming up on Feb. 27, they will play at Huntington University.
