Hello, I am Magnus, a new member of The Preface. I’m a senior in communications with a public relations focus. I’ve lived in South Bend most of my life. I am also currently a part of the Queer Straight Alliance on campus, and I work at Panera Bread.

I was briefly part of my high school’s newspaper, where I actually did some similar articles to my current “bad movie reviews”. I have a passion for silly films, but clearly not enough to actually major in it, so this is my outlet. I am also the co-manager of advertising.

I live with my partner and our two cats and currently our roommates and their cat, and yes, it is cramped, but yes, we are doing okay – thank you for asking. Our creatures are named Freddy Fazberry (Berry for short) and John Carpenter’s “The Thing” (Carp), and they are something like three years old and very silly. 

In fact, just today Carp was attempting to throw me down the stairs and injure me very badly. That will probably be true for whatever day you read this, because it’s just a fun game we play I guess.

Fun fact section: My partner is the famous IU South Bend Darling, Reagan Ayala. My favorite movie at least at the moment is Jason X. My favorite animal is the Atlantic Wolffish, and you should look that beast up. My favorite game is Solitaire, which I play constantly. If you see me staring at my phone and tapping the top right corner with a very serious expression, this is what I am doing.
