Hi! My name is Cienna King and I am a new member of “The Preface”! I am a freshman here at IU South Bend, coming from Mishawaka, Indiana. I am majoring in communications with a focus in journalism, and I am minoring in dance.

I’m very excited to be working with “The Preface” because it’ll give me the opportunity to expand my journalism skills along with gaining experience. I’m hoping to use my future degree in journalism to become a news anchor for a station like WSBT. 

When I was in first grade, I actually got to tour WSBT and be on the news, and ever since then I’ve wanted to be a news anchor. I got the chance to try this out in high school for our school’s weekly newscast, and I had such a fun time with it that it made me want to pursue my degree in communications.

One of my favorite hobbies is dancing. I’ve been taking classes since I was three years old, and I still do here at IU South Bend. My other hobbies include thrifting, crocheting, art and playing video games. I also love listening to music and going to concerts. Even though streaming services are taking over, I still collect CDs, because nothing can compare to having a physical copy of your favorite album. I also love all things spooky and bats are my favorite animal. 

I’m honored to be a new addition to “The Preface” and I can’t wait to see where this leads me. Go Titans!
