Baseball
Titan baseball has concluded its Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) season. Their overall record is 15-23, and in the CCAC, it is 11-11.
Concluding the CCAC season, the Titans won both games against Calumet College of St. Joseph, winning game one 10-6 and game two 7-2. The Titans are in seventh place in the current conference standings.
On April 11, they took two home wins from Trinity Christian, winning 10-0 and 7-2. At the time of publication, they were looking forward to two more away games against Trinity Christian on April 12 and one against Grace College on April 15.
Baseball returns April 18, playing at the University of St. Francis at 2 p.m. After this, their regular season will wind down, with only three games left.
Softball
Over spring break, Titan softball traveled to Florida. They opened their trip with six games over three days. On day one, they won their first game 4-2, then dropped the second game 2-5 against Florida Nation.
On day two, the Titans had two opponents, losing game one against Brewton-Parker College 4-6 and losing game two against the University of Northwestern Ohio 0-3. On day three, the Titans lost to Dallas Christian College 2-3 and lost to Saint Michael’s College 3-8.
Moving into the last two days of the trip, the Titans lost both games on day five. Game one, they lost 2-5 against the University of Fort Lauderdale and a close 1-2 against Webber International University.
On the last day, the Titans took a loss, 13-3, and a win, 3-1, against Dallas Christian College. The record for the Titans overall is 8-22 and 2-4 in the CCAC. At the time of publication, they were looking forward to two games against St. Francis on April 12 and one against Viterbo on April 13.
Titans are back in action tomorrow, April 17, at 1 p.m. at Judson University.
