The Olivet Nazarene University (ONU) Tigers women’s basketball team scored 42 points off of 39 forced turnovers thanks to the full court press as the IU South Bend Titans lost 105-76.

Sammy Stejskal led the Tigers (12-8, 8-3 CCAC) with 21 points, while Jess Learned and Zanna Myers contributed with 14 points.

The ONU Tigers pulled away early in the second quarter with a 19-2 run to put the Tigers up 41-18 with 7:50 left in the first half.

“We need to play with more poise, we are playing frazzled,” said Head Coach Steve Bruce as he spoke at the end of the first half. The Titans needed to break down the press as the Titans went into the break trailing 58-35.

Kylie Fehrman led all IU South Bend Titans (8-12, 4-7 CCAC) scorers with 26 points and 6 rebounds and Cortney Raymer added 12 points along with Taylor Wesley helping out with 10 points. The second half did not get any easier for the Titans as they were outscored 47-41 in the second half. ONU not only used the full court press to their advantage, they also used the 3-point basket to their advantage hitting 19 threes and shooting 42 percent for the game.
