Hello! My name is Claire McKenna, and I am one of the newest members of The Preface. I am a sophomore from Goshen, Indiana, and I am majoring in communications with a concentration in journalism. 

I had always thought of communications as a potential major, but I was never quite sure. I loved expressing myself in any way I could. This pushed me to experiment in school through theater, orchestra and radio. Although I was more attentive to my thespian and musical self, I knew those two subjects were not going to be the end goal for me. I loved being a part of the school’s radio program, but unfortunately, the program was cut short. I hope being a part of The Preface will help me recreate what I had there.   

Outside of school, I enjoy playing and listening to music. I have many different playlists made for very specific moods and I am always making more. People like to believe that their life is a movie, and they are the main character. I am the DJ of my movie. Speaking of movies, I also enjoy watching them. I am down for just about anything, but I love animation and thriller movies.  

I hope working at The Preface will help me reach my goals. I am very excited to be a part of this team.
