Hello IU South Bend! My name is Evelyn Kowalski and I am a Staff-Writer for The Preface. I am a junior coming with double majors in journalism and integrated new media, specifically video and motion media. 

I joined The Preface last semester, and I am looking forward to new stories to share with you all and seeing what I can improve on this year. The reason I joined was to get experience and get insight on what kind of job I want in the future. The Preface helps me get this experience and see what I want to explore in my fields of study. I can’t wait to continue working at The Preface until I graduate and then use the experience and skills that I learn to explore and expand in my career. 

My hobbies and interests are reading books in fantasy, sci-fi and mystery. I like baking if I have time to do some after school or on the weekend. I also enjoy spending time with my little brother while watching his cartoon movies. I like to watch funny YouTube videos, anime, movies and sometimes TV shows, like “Supernatural” and “Once Upon a Time.”
