Want clean Teeth? Dental Hygiene students want you

Angie Giron and Alejandra Montoya are two junior dental hygiene students who are just starting
their semester of patient cleanings. They explained that their clinical responsibilities include
scheduling patients, going over patient history, taking radiographs and cleaning and polishing
teeth. They also create goals with the patient to better their oral habits.

Dental hygiene program; school of nursing to host free health fair

By LAUREN PAJAKOWSKI Staff Writer The First Annual Community Health Day is coming to IU South Bend on April 13. Hosted by the dental hygiene program and the school of nursing, this free community event will offer numerous services to the public while giving dental hygiene and nursing students a chance to practice their skills.
