IU South Bend recently welcomed a new club on campus: Titans On-the-Go.
The club was created by Dean Susan Thomas and SGA Chief Diversity Officer Jenny Gonzalez to create a space for commuter students on campus to be able to go between classes or during free time.
The lounge is located on the third floor of Franklin D. Schurz Library in staff lounge 307 and will be open during library hours. Students can sign up to join the club and gain access to the room through a code on Titan Atlas. Commuters are encouraged to utilize the space, and it can be especially helpful for students that travel long distances to IU South Bend.
The goal is to “have a shared space where commuters can go to take a nap, relax or to help commuters make friends”, according to Gonzalez. The space will be decorated inside soon and features couches, a TV, a coffee station and a full kitchen for students to use.
