Sip n study at the Electric Brew

Welcome back to another week of Sip & Study! This week I decided to go to one of my favorite coffee shops in the area, The Electric Brew.  The Electric Brew has locations in Goshen and Elkhart. Both of them are unique in their own ways but are very similar in atmosphere. I went to the Elkhart one, which is at 113 E Lexington Ave.

The inside of The Electric Brew is cozy and a bit rustic with cute old furniture. Some local artists’ art and cafe merchandise is sold near the register, which I think adds character. They sell various different specialty drinks and pastries. There are more pastries there than most cafes tend to have, which is one part I love about visiting. On top of that, there’s a small food menu with breakfast and lunch items.

Usually I love the coffee cakes and get a latte with spiced brown sugar. This time I let the barista choose what I ordered for both my drink and pastry. She made me a blackberry caramel latte and gave me a chocolate chip cheesecake bar to try, both of which were incredible per usual. Sometimes there are seasonal drinks, and right now it is an almond biscotti latte.

I love studying or chatting at The Electric Brew because it’s never too loud, and most people are working there during the week anyways. There is also free Wi-Fi and I’ve never had trouble finding seating or a place to charge my laptop.

I love going to both locations of this shop, and wish I lived closer so I could stop in more often. I recommend this coffee shop to tons of people and would also recommend it to any student looking for a fun new spot to check out.
