The IU South Bend Department of Theatre and Dance will introduce its run of the musical, “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change,” with the book and lyrics by Joe DiPietro and music by Jimmy Roberts.

All performances will take place in the Upstage Theatre on the second floor of Northside Hall.

“An updated version of the hilarious musical revue! This crowd-pleasing comedy takes on the truths and myths behind that contemporary conundrum known as ‘the relationship,’”  states the Ernestine M. Raclin School of the Arts on the musical’s webpage.

There are two casts of four people for this show, with eight performances altogether. The casts are known as Cast Blush and Cast Bashful. Each cast will perform four times throughout the run of the show.

Cast Blush will be performing on Nov. 11 at 7:30 p.m., Nov. 13 at 2 p.m., Nov. 18 at 7:30 p.m. and Nov. 20 at 2 p.m. Cast Blush features Eddrice Faness as Man 1, Kristen Cole as Woman 1, Isaac King as Man 2 and Shanya Nichole as Woman 2.

Cast Bashful will be performing on Nov. 10 at 7:30 p.m, Nov. 12 at 7:30 p.m., Nov. 17 at 7:30 p.m. and Nov. 19 at 7:30 p.m. Cast Bashful features Spencer Lawson as Man 1, Madison Coleman as Woman 1, Jordan Keen as Man 2 and Brianna Nickerson as Woman 2.

“The show will take place in the setting of an Art Gallery, and our hope is to display student and faculty artwork during the show on the set, in the lobby, etc… in an effort to showcase the fabulously talented artists learning and teaching at IU South Bend in the Ernestine M. Raclin School of the Arts,” Justin Amellio-Ashbrook, associate professor and the musical’s director, said.

The run of this show is helping raise awareness of the Titans Feeding Titans Food Pantry on campus. Audience members are encouraged to bring items to support this essential resource for students, faculty and staff on campus. Items that can be donated include perishable and non-perishable food items, personal hygiene products, household products and some pet products.

Tickets to this event are free and can be secured by calling the Box Office at 574-520-4203.
