Let’s get spooky, Honors students! The Honors Program will be hosting this year’s Halloween party at Bendix Woods.

Honors students can bring a friend, sibling or parent to join in on the fun. The event is on Oct. 21 from 3:30-5:30 p.m.. Spots are limited, so Honors students must RSVP them and their guest if they intend to attend.

“This is a dual-purpose event, as it is both a social gathering as well as a donation drive,” Emilee Edmonds, Honors Program intern, said.

Due to the enormity of this program and its continual yearly growth, the Honors Program has made it a priority for its students to get to know each other better. Alongside that, Dr. Borshuk’s Honors Freshman Seminar (H100) class has chosen to complete service projects centered around Domestic Violence Awareness month.

As a result of the project, they are collecting necessities to be donated to “Our Lady of the Road.” Students who attend the Bendix Woods Halloween Party are encouraged to bring an item to be donated to the cause. Item suggestions include, but are not limited to, hand sanitizer, toiletries, towels, face masks and backpacks. What better way to celebrate the Halloween season than to give, share, and spread the love?

This is an event that Honors students do not want to miss. A costume contest with several categories will take place, and treats will be provided. Dress warm, get creative, get excited and get ready for a spooky wicked night!
