One.IU is one of IU South Bend’s most useful tools for students on and off campus. The site provides students with a simple way of navigating available resources through its “search, click, done” motto.
For first-time students, or students without much experience with the website, exploring One.IU may be overwhelming. There are several important applications on the website beneficial for success at IU South Bend.
While on the website, a page of featured, most popular and highest rated applications appears for easy selection. However, a search bar is conveniently located at the top of the page for quicker locating your desired app.
Canvas is one very important tool on One.IU. Canvas is used for students to easily complete coursework, contact professors and classmates, check class calendars and look at their grades. Upon selecting the Canvas app, students are navigated to the Canvas website where they are instructed to sign into their account. IU South Bend also offers information sessions about how to use Canvas; if you are interested, ask a professor.
Exchange Online is also important for student use. Exchange Online is the student email server for communication with other IU staff, faculty and students.
The Student Center app is also useful for students checking your schedule, viewing unofficial transcripts, verifying enrollment and viewing financial aid. To locate the Student Center application, students can simply search “SIS” in the One.IU search bar.
The Student Appointment Scheduler is used for scheduling appointments with academic advisors. By searching “SAS” in the One.IU search bar, students can find the app which provides contact information for advisors, displays appointment availability and walks students through the scheduling process. Appointments with advisors are required in order to enroll for future classes at IU South Bend, making the Student Appointment Scheduler a necessity.
The Student Engagement Roster is a useful tool for receiving feedback from professors. For most classes, professors will leave comments on student performance so students can consider recommendations about attendance, participation and academic performance. To find the Student Engagement Roster, students can search “SER” in the search box, making sure to select the option designated for students.
View/Pay Bursar Bill is the simplest way for students to view their tuition or housing balance, create payment plans and print payment receipts. Students can also view previous statements including past payments and disbursed financial aid.
For students looking to get involved on campus, Titan Atlas houses all of the information for on-campus events. While accessing Titan Atlas, students can select “Events” along the top of the page to view various on-campus organizations events. Student organizations can also navigate to the “Forms” page on Titan Atlas to find out how to request funding for their club or event.
One.IU offers many other useful tools through their website. While the site may seem challenging to navigate while starting off, it quickly becomes an everyday resource for IU South Bend students.
