The IU South Bend Career & Internship fair was held by Career Services on Sept. 27 in the Student Activity Center.

The goal of the fair was to help attendees make connections and network with companies hiring  in the South Bend area.

Attendees had the opportunity to gain information about potential jobs, as well as hand out resumes to potential employers. There were various types of local firms, including accounting businesses, social work agencies and medical care facilities in attendance. Free professional portraits were also offered for students during the event through Career Services.

The event had a great turnout of attendees. While many attendees were pre-registered, there were also many who signed up on the day of the fair. According to Janet Kujawa of Student Services,, “around 400 people registered.”

Career Services is beneficial for those looking to find a degree path, locate internship opportunities or needing assistance with perfecting a résumé.
