What is pink-ribboned, flowery, and full of Jesus-loving girls? Delight of course!
IU South Bend’s Delight Ministries Kickoff was held Sept. 1 in the SAC. Chick-fil-a, plenty of balloons, and even a puppy made the event a perfect place to be for the evening.
Delight is a women’s ministry on college campuses nationwide that focuses on a Christ-centered community with a goal of making Jesus known.
Katie Kvietkus, Delight’s social media coordinator, says, “these girls have the biggest impact on my heart. When I found Delight, I had just started my walk in faith. I truly feel that Delight is what allowed me to follow God consistently and hold me accountable.”
Kvietkus said she is looking forward to having lots of service events, worship nights and finding new girls to lead Delight in the future,
“These girls give us a great opportunity to form a community in a commuter school and just have fun,” Kvietkus said.
Delight ministries was founded ten years ago by two girls at Belmont University. Through their friendship and passion for Christ they were able to lead, connect and share their story all over the country.
Delight at IUSB was started in 2020 by a former student, Grace Logan, who at the time was just a freshman. She felt in her heart that this was what God had called her to do.
“It has brought together girls on all different walks of their faith journey,” Kvietkus said. “We have weekly meetings where we study in-depth a chapter of a book series. We meet for volunteer service events and community events that include bonfires, pumpkin painting and Friendsgiving.”

One of Delights core values is to be invitational, so girls are encouraged to bring a friend whether they know Jesus or not!
If you didn’t get a chance to attend Kickoff, Delight invites you to join them every Thursday night to get a chance to fully immerse yourself in a Christ-centered community that encourages friendships and transforms lives.
Their meetings are held every Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in SAC room 206.
