The Student Government Association’s Philanthropy Committee has chosen to host a benefit dinner to raise funds for the IU South Bend’s Student Emergency Relief Fund.
“The IU South Bend Student Emergency Relief Scholarship helps IU South Bend students who face unexpected expenses due to an emergency, such as an accident, illness, death of a family member, fire damage, or need for temporary housing,” said the IU South Bend emergency resource website.
At the dinner, there will be a speaker who will be explaining the fund in more detail.
“People should attend the event because it raises money for our students in need. This is a chance for us to give back to them!” said Lia Azcuna, chair of the Philanthropy Committee.
The dinner will be held on March 31 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Grill. A pasta dinner will be served with options for gluten free, vegan and vegetarian.
Tickets are required for this event. They are $15 for students with valid ID upon arrival and $20 for adults. If you are interested in joining the SGA for this fundraising dinner, tickets can be purchased at https://am.ticketmaster.com/southbend/benefitdinner.
