South Bend is home to some of the most unique small businesses that offer one-of-a-kind experiences for residents and visitors to enjoy. From local restaurants to small boutiques, South Bend has adventures waiting for everyone.
The General Deli & Café is home to what appears to be an endless list of food, coffees, sweets and sides. They are located on E. Jefferson Blvd. and provide a variety perfect for any family, couple, group or individual looking for a spot to visit.
Plenty of seating is available for those who wish to stay, though anything can be made to-go. Open early at 7 a.m., they are ideal for any college student needing a place for early studying or a quick grab-and-go coffee.
The General Deli & Café is not only for those who enjoy the coffee shop atmosphere. They provide plenty of other food options for those looking for more of a dining experience . Sandwiches including pastrami, Rueben and grilled ham & cheese are on the menu as well as many others. Potato salad, pasta salad, soups, salads and breakfast items are also available. Simple grab-and-go items such as fruits, muffins, scones and bagels are also readily available at any time.
While visiting The General Deli & Café, I tried a classic iced vanilla latte and was pleasantly surprised at the smooth taste. A popular choice is the soup cup and half-sandwich deal; the price is great, and you are able to try two of their delicious offers rather than only one.
With free Wi-Fi, The General Deli & Café is a perfect spot for any morning or daytime stops for a peaceful study break or a time to relax.
