South Bend is home to some of the most unique small businesses that offer one-of-a-kind experiences for residents and visitors to enjoy. From local restaurants to small boutiques, South Bend has adventures waiting for everyone.

The Bucket in South Bend is located within walking distance from the IU South Bend campus and provides a fun and colorful atmosphere. With plenty of dining space inside and a large patio overlooking the St. Joseph river, this restaurant is perfect for any season.

The restaurant was recently remodeled and has been turned into a friendly, welcoming spot for those of all ages to grab lunch or dinner. Appetizers, soups, salads, burgers, handhelds and seafood options are available with a kids’ menu for those 11 and younger. A list of desserts is also available for those with a sweet tooth.

During my first trip to The Bucket, I ordered their pepperoni bread appetizer as my main meal, though I probably should have ordered two because my boyfriend tried it and ended up eating almost half of my meal. The bread is served with Italian cheeses and a vodka sauce, making it the perfect order for a shareable appetizer or an individual meal.

Plenty of beverages are also available, including fountain sodas and beverages for those 21+. This local business is perfect for anybody, from college students to families.
