South Bend is home to some of the most unique small businesses that offer one-of-a-kind experiences for residents and visitors to enjoy. From local restaurants to small boutiques, South Bend has adventures waiting for everyone.
Chicory Café is located in downtown South Bend on E Jefferson Blvd. Less than two miles away from IU South Bend, the café is perfect for studying, meeting with friends or grabbing a coffee.
The café is a New Orleans style hangout spot with coffee, cocktails, craft beers and Cajun food. The menu lines the wall with a large variety of options, including breakfast items, salads, sandwiches, flatbread pizzas, macaroni & cheese, soups and desserts.
An endless selection of beverage options is also available. The menu includes espresso, cappuccinos, Americanos, lattes, mochas, frappes, hot chocolate, teas, smoothies, fountain Coke drinks and several others. A kid’s menu is also available for families wanting to stop in for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
The café is a perfect spot to hold small meetings, meet for brunch with friends or to use the free WiFi to get some work done.
Though I may not have much knowledge on the menu due to visiting for the first time last week, a good recommendation for any first-timer is the Mud Turtle Latte, a chocolatey, caramel, hazelnut coffee drink.
For those looking for a new place to find a favorite drink, the Chicory Café is the answer.
