Engage IU South Bend Internship Program is offering $1,000 stipends to students who meet certain criteria. The application for this money closes on Nov. 9.
Students must have a 2.5 cumulative GPA or higher. Undergraduates need to be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours, not including the internship credits. Graduate students need to be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours including the internship.
The internship must have at least 100 hours of onsite work. It needs to be part of a non-profit organization and be unpaid. The internship needs to be taken for academic credit and be related to the student’s academic focus.
Students will be selected based on academic performance as well as the benefit to the student and the organization. Preference will be given to students who are enrolled full time and have completed at least 30 credit hours at IU South Bend. Those working at a non-profit organization off campus will also be given preference.
Students are also allowed to receive the stipend a maximum of twice.
