How would you feel if we told you that Cassidy’s bunny, Oatmeal, now has a bigger room than Cassidy, herself? Well, that’s the case in our apartment now, and we are certain that he has never been happier than he is now.
Cassidy has spent the majority of her evenings sitting in the hallway with a cardboard gate while Oatmeal ran around. She was convinced that if he went a day without running around, he would become depressed and hate her forever. With a new home almost four times the size of his previous home, Oatmeal has plenty of room to run around and Cassidy does not have to cry herself to sleep anymore.
Alyssa has recently discovered that the easiest way to Cassidy’s heart is through chocolate-covered rice krispies (if any readers would like to win Cassidy’s heart with baked goods, we live in Bridge). Benjamin’s grandmother made a tray of them while they were in New Castle and they were left on our apartment counter. Over half of the tray was gone within about two days. Not to point any fingers, but I think Cassidy really enjoyed them.
In other news, we finally have wall décor in our living room. Cassidy painted a picture of pumpkins at last week’s Pizza and Painting event, and we now have a pop of color hanging on our wall. Is it crooked? Yes. Is it centered? No. Does it fit our apartment perfectly? Absolutely.
The best part of our week is the fact that we both now have new hair. Cassidy got her hair done on Friday and Alyssa got hers done on Saturday. If you need us, we’ll be flaunting our hair in our apartment while we do homework and cry. Try not to need Alyssa, though. Taylor Swift’s 10-minute version of All Too Well is on repeat (although she is beyond happy in her current relationship).
As we end the week, we have come to the realization that we only have four weeks left of the semester. While that means that there are less than four weeks until John and Cassidy are reunited, it also means that there are only a few weeks until tears flood the entire apartment as we work on final papers, projects and exams. Stay tuned.
