IU South Bend’s campus has a Wellness Room in every building on campus besides the library. The Wellness Rooms are designed to provide a privacy room available to all.
“A privacy room to all breastfeeding mothers and for those who need quiet and privacy for meditation. The room is secure, clean and easy to use,” said Kari Frame, Health and Wellness Center operations director.
“The wellness rooms are a good place for student moms who want privacy with their babies,” said student Savanna Schmitz.
Many of the wellness rooms have couches or chairs in the room so anyone can sit down in there and relax.

“The Wellness Room in the Administration Building has a scale in it. Even if you aren’t a breastfeeding mother, you may use the rooms as needed,” Frame said.
Go check out the wellness rooms around campus if needed. They are open to everyone.
The Wellness Rooms can be hard to find, though they do have signs on the doors to them.
The Wellness Rooms can be found in the Administration Building, room 102, Vera Z. Dwyer Hall, room 155, Education and Arts, room 2245, Wiekamp Hall/DW, room 2211, and Northside Hall, room 422.
