A good outing from Norell Smith would not be enough to help the Titans overcome the Eagles. Smith led the Titans in scoring with 21 on 8 for 17 shooting. Other than Smith, it was a mixed bag from the Titans, with the next leading scorer being Myles Simmons with 11 points on 4 for 8 shooting.

This was a game defined by Kwon Evans play for the Eagles, along with bad free throw shooting for the Titans. Kwon Evans went off for 30 points and 8 boards , shooting at a high clip going 10 for 14.

The poor free-throw shooting plagued the Titans going 7 for 15 (46.7 %). In a close game like this one, those missed free throws can make all the difference.

The Eagles shot at a higher percentage from the line going  72.4 %. They had more chances from the line shooting 29 free throws.

The first half played out being a back and forth affair. The lead would change three times, with three ties. The largest lead was held by the Eagles at six.

In the second half the Eagles took control of the game. They started opening up the offense creating threes early and causing fouls in the paint. At the 8:19 mark the Eagles took their largest lead of the game by 11 points.

The Titans never tied or took the lead in the second half.  With nine seconds remaining the Titans got within four after a three from Norell Smith. However a couple made free throws ended any hope of winning for the Titans. The Eagles win, beating the Titans 78-72.
