The oldest city in the state of South Carolina is Charleston, which also happens to be one of my favorite cities in the country. To introduce myself, I am going to introduce my favorite place, Charleston, S.C.

Charleston has always been important to my family, so over time, it has become very important to me. It is where many members of my family have grown up and where my baby cousin was recently born.

My family has always made trips to Charleston a priority. It is a wonderful way to bond with family that I do not get to see as often as I would like to.

The surrounding areas of Charleston have several small islands and beaches that are beautiful. Going to any beach has always been one of my favorite activities, but the beaches near Charleston are my favorite. Downtown Charleston is also a wonderful area. The architecture of the buildings and liveliness of the city make it feel like home.

Being an older city, Charleston also has a rich history that is fascinating. I am a person who enjoys learning. Every time I travel back to Charleston, I have an opportunity to learn new things because there is such an extensive history there.

Charleston will always have a large impact on my life. I hope that my description of Charleston has helped you to gain some insight into who I am. As Azar Nafisi once said, “You get a strange feeling when you leave a place… like you’ll not only miss the people you love but you’ll miss the person you are at this time and this place.” The person that I am in Charleston is the version of myself that I love the most.
