A funding requesting from the Student Finance Association was put on hold because the quorum was not met at last Friday’s Student Government Association (SGA) meeting.

The Student Finance Association is looking to take eight members to New York City to explore Wall Street for four days. The group is looking to visit the New York Stock Exchange, a finance museum, and several other finance-related places on Wall Street on Feb. 22.

The group was initially looking for $4,000, but after a fundraiser, covering the cost of food and getting to O’Hare International Airport, the group is looking to have $3,000 covered by the Student Activities Fund from which the SGA disburses money.

In addition to this, the Student Finance Association will host an event for all business majors who could not attend this trip, focusing on freshmen.

The SGA members that were present were in favor 4-2.
