Titan Production has two upcoming events IUSB students and faculty can look forward to, a scavenger hunt and a talent show. Senior Miren Mosteller, who is majoring in social work, is the executive producer of titan productions and is looking forward to providing the campus community with these two great events. Although the two events are being still being finalized, Mosteller is hopeful there will be a lot of participation.
Mosteller states, “On October 29 we will release the rules for the scavenger hunt. People can follow our Facebook page, Titan Production Presents, or keep an eye out for flyers to get important information.” The flyers and social media posts will explain the details of the scavenger hunt like where to post your scavenger hunt pictures.
However, Mosteller and her staff would like all students to know they must like their Facebook page in order to receive the scavenger hunt clues. Mosteller explains, “We will be posting a clue to a location found on campus once or twice a day. You are then going to take a picture at that location and send the picture according to the official rules.” Information on prizes will also be released when the official rules are announced.
Mosteller explained, “The scavenger hunt is just for fun and is about learning where stuff is on campus. We are going to try and highlight stuff that students should know about. Anyone can play, it is not just targeted at freshman, as a senior I still don’t know everything about campus. So it is a fun test your knowledge sort of event.” The scavenger hunt will run from October 30 to November 2 with winners being announced on November 3.
The other event Titan Productions has in the works is a talent show, which will happen on November 16 at the community building of student housing. Mosteller is particularly excited about the talent show and hopes everyone from faculty to student will participate. She explains, “The main thing we are doing right now is calling for acts. We have posted flyers around campus and posted on our Facebook page.” You can also email your performance information to titanpro@iusb.edu. Anyone interested in performing should email their name and what they will be doing for their act and Titan Production will add them to the lineup.
Although Titan Productions have not finalized an official start time, Mosteller encourages everyone to sign up and attend the show. She states, “Performance times will be determined by the number of sign ups we receive. Performers should be current IUSB students, faculty, or staff. We have been getting interest and people seem to be excited about talent shows. There are a lot of singing performers that we are getting right now. It will be interesting to see what kind of acts come in.”
Any student club needing assistance in planning or organizing a campus event should contact Titan Productions at titanpro@iusb.edu. The Titan Productions crew can help with everything from planning and setting up to providing audio and technical support.
