Talk on computing to be given by Notre Dame Professor

Notre Dame’s Scott Hampton is coming to IU South Bend on Wednesday, Sept. 27. He will be presenting on “High Performance Computing” in Fireside, by the University Grill. Scott Hampton is the HPC user support manager at Notre Dame. Contact sbacm@indiana.edu to reserve your seat for a night of good talk and free pizza.

 

IU South Bend prepares for annual Bender Lecture

On Oct. 13, Cornell professor Steve Squyres, head of the Mars Exploration Rover Mission, will be arriving in South Bend for IUSB’s annual Bender Lecture. Squyres will be speaking in Wiekamp 1001 from 7 to 8 p.m. and will be available in the hour preceding to sign books. The Bender lectures are made possible through a gift by the children of Eileen and Harvey Bender.

 

 

Constitution Day lunch at IU South Bend

Looking for something to do Tuesday afternoon? Try a constitution day Lunch N Learn. Starting at 11:30 a.m. in the Campus Mall, students will learn about living with the constitution in a diverse America. The discussion will be led by Chancellor Terry Allison and Darryl Heller, director of the Civil Rights Heritage Center.
