A new trend has emerged here on campus. Students have been lounging between classes in portable hammocks.
These hammocks are often easy to set up and can be a change of pace for someone who wants to get out of the dorm for a while to study. The hammock trend has been popping up on college campuses all across the country.
Some universities, such as Michigan State, have gone so far as to ban hammock use on campus due to tree damage.
