Students have a chance to hear live musical performances weekly in the Grill starting in January.

Titan Productions is sponsoring Titan Tunes Talent and will have vocalists and instrumentalists perform during lunch.

Students Trevor McDonald, Devonte Glass, Britanny Hale, Joey Rocco and possibly Allen Roberts will likely perform through the lunch rush for either a half hour or an hour, said Taylor Silveus marketing coordinator for Titan Productions.

“Titan Pro wants to give student performers exposure and bring music back to campus,” Silveus said.

Ideally, the performances will start in the first week of school, Silveus said, but this may be pushed to the second week of school due to welcome week.

“We met with the Dean of the Raclin School of the Arts,” Silveus said. “The executive board wanted to bring in a concert or something. We’re starting slow and trying to build up to a concert.”

If the spring performances go well, Titan Productions would prefer to have fall performances as well, Silveus said.

The Titan Tunes Talent Showcase occurred on Nov. 11 in the Grill to introduce the new IUSB performers. This event included the four main performers McDonald, Glass, Hale and Rocco.

Titan Productions has not done anything similar to this event in the last two years, Silveus said.

Students who are interested in performing should contact Titan Productions at titanpro@iusb.edu or Scott Strittmatter at sstrittm@iusb.edu.
