Senior night comes for volleyball’s Kozinski and Combs

Welcoming family, friends and fans of volleyball to the Student Activities Center (SAC) on November 2, women’s volleyball hosted their last home game of the 2015-16 season, marking senior night for Emily Kozinski and Kierstynn Combs.
To begin their final home game, Titan Athletics and the volleyball coaching staff honored Kozinski and Combs with an announcement of their compiled career statistics. Finishing her four-year career, Kozinski compiled a total of 637 kills, 32 assists and 127 digs and Combs followed with a three-year career total of 189 kills, 34 assists and 191 digs.
Parents joined the players while the team presented them with flowers and plaques to honor their years as Titans.
“Playing volleyball has given me some of the greatest memories of my life. I love the game and God has blessed me greatly with a wonderful team and athletic talent,” senior Kierstynn Combs said, looking back on her years with the team and a sport she is passionate about,
With set scores of 21-25, 21-25, 25-18, 17-25, Huntington University Foresters were victorious over the Indiana University South Bend Titans with a 3 to 1 victory.
Titans took on the Purdue University Calumet Peregrines in a 5-set victory putting the Titans at an overall 2015-16 season record of 15-20 in their last game of the season Nov. 5.
