Dress BOO-tiful and come get scared at the fourth annual Boo to You Halloween Spectacular.
The Boo to You event will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on October 28, taking place in the frightening, vacant building of Riverside Hall.
Those attending the event are asked to bring a nonperishable or toiletry item or a monetary donation that will be accepted at the door. All donations will be donated to a community organization.
The High school and college themed Boo to You will be open to all ages in the South Bend community. Halloween attire and costume dress is highly encouraged. Cider, doughnuts, popcorn and water will be available free of charge during this event.
The Kids Carnival will be from 4 to 6 p.m. All ages are welcome to sit down with snacks and listen to spooky Halloween books. There will be a giant, inflatable, Halloween themed maze, the Igor Operation Game, prizes and candy for all kids to partake in.
The Haunted House starts at 5 p.m. and is geared towards teens 13 years and older. Children who are under the age of 13 will need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian to go through the Haunted House.
There will be a possible haunted tour of campus, and attendees will not want to miss this opportunity to experience IU South Bend’s haunted past.
IUSB’s students have the opportunity to take on the challenge of overturning the reigning champs of the door decorating contest in the Haunted House. The Latino Student Union has won this scary competition for the last 3 years and will be ready to take on the next creative competitors again at this year’s Boo to You.
The Boo to You committee is in need of volunteers to help with this event.
Danielle Cage, co-chair of the Boo to You committee said, “No amount of help is too little.”
