Welcome Fair
Monday & Tuesday, August 24 & 25, 11am-2pm
Location: Campus Mall
The welcome fair will host free games, prizes, and food. In addition to all of the FREE giveaways, be sure to check out all of the FUN student clubs and organizations that IU South Bend has to offer. Get connected on campus and meet new students.
Bubble Soccer
Monday August 24, 11am-4pm
Location: Campus Mall
If you’ve never played soccer inside a bubble, then here is your chance. The bubble “suit” will cover you from the top of your head to your mid-thighs. Students will be facing off and bouncing around in this fun game of Bubble Soccer.
Mission IMPROVable: Comedy Show
Tuesday August 25, 8pm
Location: University Grill
A fast-paced comedy show, where the host Chicagoan actors pretend to be agents, similar to the movie trilogy, Mission Impossible. The hosts aren’t the only ones involved, as the audience will be co-agents and joining them on their “missions.” With the co-agents in the crowd, and the agents on the stage, it will provide for a unique and witty show.
Titan Splash
Wednesday August 26, 5:30pm
Location: Student Housing
Get splashed with color in this fun run/walk. The course will be a total of one mile and will go throughout the Riverside Crossing area. Be sure to wear white clothing that you will not mind getting covered in color.
S.G.A. Cookout
Wednesday August 26, 5:30pm
Location: Student Housing
After you get covered in colors from the Titan Splash, be sure to enjoy free food, grilled up by the Student Government Association. Food will include hotdogs, veggie burgers, potato chips and drinks. Along with the cookout will be fun games on the intramural field.
Afterglow Dance
Thursday August 27, 9:00pm-12:00am
Location: Northside Courtyard
Come out to the Northside Courtyard and enjoy good music, friends and of course dancing under the stars. Unlike the typical dance, the Afterglow Dance will be filled with Glow-in-the-dark decorations and creations.
Outdoor Movie Series
Friday & Saturday, August 28, 29, 9:00pm
Location: Student Housing
To finish off the exciting Welcome Week there will be an Outdoor Movie Series taking place at Student Housing. On Friday night the showing will be a Marvel hit movie, Guardians of the Galaxy and on Saturday will be a showing of Fast and the Furious 7. Be sure to bring your blankets, lawn chairs and enjoy your year as an IUSB Titan!
