Off campus activities offer students a change of scenery

Looking for a delicious Chinese dish before class? Check out China House, located on 2222 E. Mishawaka Ave, a few blocks from campus. Remember to bring your Indiana University ID, and receive a 10% percent discount on your purchase.

Every college student knows the importance of coffee in our busy lives. If you need a caffeinated pick me up, The Well is the place for you. Located at 2410 Mishawaka Ave, The Well is a non-profit coffee house staffed by volunteers and is dedicated to serving the River Park community.
On Wednesdays at 7pm, The Well hosts Magic The Gathering and every third Wednesday there is an open mic night for musicians and artists to share their work with the public. If you would like to sign up for an open mic, or volunteer at The Well, you can call 574-387-2410.

For the whiskey connoisseur, the Indiana Whiskey Company, located at 1115 West Sample Street, South Bend, offers its clients a way to enjoy tasty drinks while supporting Indiana veterans.
The company donates three percent of its profits to Veteran Support Programs and organizations across Indiana, as well as providing paid internships for veterans transitioning to civilian life. Stop by and enjoy a drink, or take a tour.

Do you have what it takes to be a standup comedian? If so, check out The Drop Comedy Club’s open mic night, Tuesdays starting at 8pm, 822 Lafayette, South Bend. The show is free and so are the laughs.
