The International Student Organization (ISO) will be hosting its annual International Food Festival 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday, April 11 in the University Grill.

The event is open to anyone who wants to experience diverse flavors from all around the world for $10. Children under 13 cost $5. Tickets will be available at the door or at the Office of International Student Services.

The International Food Festival is being held for students and the community to have a chance to sit down, converse with one another, and eat meals that are rooted in so many different cultures.

According to the IU South Bend official website, there will be musicians from a local African band and the IUSB Flute Ensemble, along with entertainment that will include a fashion show that will connect people with the international atmosphere.

The president of the International Student Organization, Ngaatendwe Mantiziba, said, “This event is for people to have a great time, and to learn something new.”

The International Student Organization will be providing 9 different dishes from almost every continent.

Mantiziba believes that “food gives you a glimpse into another culture.”

The ISO will be providing meals with food from China, Mexico, Africa, Brazil and so many more.
