It’s time to touch-up on buzzer technique. Jeopardy is coming to IU South Bend for trivia night.

The traditional event will occur at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 26 in the Grill. The evening will feature pizza, refreshments and a chance to walk away with prize money. If a team wins first place, their prize is $150. Second place pockets $100 and third place takes home $50.

“We are planning it to be in a Jeopardy-like style,” Sirenna Barrell, executive producer at Titan Productions, said. “We will start with a category at random, and after the first category, we will have a moment to tally the score, and the team in the lead will get to pick the next category.”

Contestants may choose from the five categories including geography and science, arts and entertainment, sports, history and a wild category.

Students and faculty are invited to compete in the event, however, only a registered club or organization may win prize money.

“We prefer that teams sign up by February 24th. That would be the best,” Barrell said. “However we take last-minute teams at the event, provided there are open slots. We cap the event at 24 teams.”

Teams of three or four can find the registration application on Titan Productions’ Facebook page, or by going to http://goo.gl/forms/wLTSLOkUJE.
