Raclin School of the Arts Scholarship Application Deadline – March 1

To access the more than 200 IU South Bend and IU Foundation scholarship opportunities, students must complete the Online Scholarship Application (OSA) no later than March 1st each year. The OSA provides students the opportunity to be considered for the greatest number of scholarships available at IU South Bend. Students completing the OSA will be considered for Institutional, Alumni, Departmental and IU Foundation scholarships. The Raclin School of the Arts requires all scholarship applicants to complete the OSA. You can access the Online Scholarship Application through OneStart. Instructions are available at https://www.iusb.edu/scholarships/OSA.php.

Where do I find the Online Scholarship Application?
· In OneStart, click on the Services tab (do not launch the Self Serve window, just click on the brown Services tab at the top of the page)
· Scroll down to the “Financial” section. Click on the IU Foundation and IU South Bend Scholarship Application link.
· Complete the application and hit the submit button NO later than March 1st! (Fine Arts Students – digital portfolios and artist statement required for the Langland and Zisla scholarships must be turned in to Prof. Ron Monsma by March 10)

Students are also strongly encouraged to complete FAFSA by March 1.

Communication Studies
Complete the Online Scholarship Application to be considered for Communication Studies scholarships
Greg Petry Scholarship
William M. and Lucille E. Gering Scholarship

Music
Complete the Online Scholarship Application to be considered for Music scholarships. Music scholarships are talent based and require an audition, jury, or upper divisional.
Talent Based Scholarships
Martin Fellowship in Piano
Rex and Alice A. Martin Fellowship in Piano
John C. and Georgia Ward-Bryant Scholarship
Robert W. Demaree, Jr. Scholarship

Integrated New Media Studies
Complete the Online Scholarship Application to be considered for campus wide scholarships.
There are no New Media scholarships at this time.

Theatre & Dance
Complete the Online Scholarship Application to be considered for campus wide scholarships as well as Theatre & Dance scholarships. Theatre scholarships require an audition, jury, or upper divisional review.
Broadway Theatre League Scholarship
Theatre Scholarships – funded by children’s theatre

Fine Arts
Complete the Online Scholarship Application to be considered for visual arts scholarships. In addition, please complete requirements for individual scholarships as listed below.

Langland Fine Arts Scholarship
The Langland Scholarship is awarded to IUSB students enrolled in either the B.A. or B.F.A. program and entering his/her junior year. The Scholarship is awarded based on:
-artistic ability in a studio discipline
-concern for intellectual pursuits as evidenced by an outstanding academic record
-interest, ability, and performance in other areas of knowledge
-a contribution to the community at large.
The number, amount, and recipient(s) of the Scholarship will be determined by the Scholarship Committee of the Division.

Application procedure
You must be a Visual Arts major with 35-55 credits and a good academic record. Complete the Online Scholarship Application by March 1.
In addition, please submit:
-A Portfolio CD: including 10 works (3 different areas may be included)
-An Artist’s statement.
By March 10, 2014

Harold Zisla Scholarship (and Zisla Art Supply Award)
The scholarship will be awarded based on assessment of the following criteria.
1. Undergraduate students enrolled in either the BA or BFA program.
2. The scholarship will be awarded based on artistic ability and interest shown in experimental art.
The number, amount, and recipient(s) of the Scholarship will be determined by the Scholarship Committee
Application procedure
Complete the Online Scholarship Application by March 1. In addition, please submit:
-Portfolio of works in a CD format: 10 works (may be from 3 different areas)
-Artist Statement
By March 10, 2014
