I’m a journalism major. I aspire to work as a war correspondent in the future. I really enjoy creative writing as well. I love classic literature. I’m a huge Hemingway fan and cannot get enough of his short declarative sentences.
I choose to write for The Preface because more writing experience makes for a better writer. I believe in Malcolm Gladwell’s 10,000 hour rule, therefore I need to get in my 10,000 hours of writing in order to be a pro. Someday I would like to write a children’s book.
I’ve been writing since I was a young child. My writing has always been creative up until I started doing the journalistic writing almost a year ago. When I’m not reading and writing I enjoy videogames, dancing and cooking.
I recently picked up hula hooping and I’m pretty obsessed. I love to attend concerts. My favorite band is Third Eye Blind and I once met them entirely by chance at Brother’s Bar and Grill one evening a couple years back. I hope to live in South America one day because I am in love with the culture. I aspire to travel the world and hope that my future journalism career will aid me in accomplishing my world travel.
