On April 2, IU South Bend and Mishawaka High School officials gathered in Fireside to sign an agreement introducing a new seamless admission process for graduating Mishawaka students.
This process will streamline admissions, with Mishawaka High School seniors not needing to fill out a traditional application. Instead, qualifying seniors will now only have to submit a short online form for admission.
“They opt in at the beginning of their high school career or later in their senior year to say that ultimately, that they are willing to share their transcript with IU South Bend, and then they can skip the traditional application process,” IUSB Interim Deputy Chancellor Andy Williams told WSBT.
In addition to School City of Mishawaka, Elkhart Community School Corporation has also signed this agreement.
In the official press release, MHS Principal Chad Brugh stated, “We are thrilled to begin this new partnership between Mishawaka High School and Indiana University South Bend, which allows our students to bypass the traditional application process. This agreement is a significant step forward for our students, offering them a streamlined path to higher education and new opportunities for success.”
