On Oct. 3, U Bring Change 2 Mind, the Student Counseling Center and Titan Team Leads collaborated to hold an event called “Stick it to Stigma”. The purpose of the event was to talk about mental health and combat the stigma that surrounds it. The event consisted of students picking stickers with uplifting messages about mental health, funny sayings and cool caricatures.
In addition to the sticker station, students were also encouraged to participate in a vision board-making activity where people could visualize what the next five years of their lives would look like without any limitations. This encouraged students to think about their goals and potential obstacles they might face. To further support these aspirations, students could connect with the career planning office to find support and resources.
